Oreine Denice Robinson is an actor, lyricist, teaching artist and voice actor currently based in New York City. A true small town girl, she grew up in Scotland Neck, NC and later relocated to Winston-Salem, NC. In the 6th grade she followed her older sister’s footsteps and joined her school’s drama club where she instantly knew she found her craft.

Pursuing her newfound love, Oreine joined North Carolina’s Black Repertory Company’s (NCBRC) Teen Ensemble at age 13. With NCBRC Oreine had the privilege to work closely with various entertainment veterans, such as Mabel Robinson and Samm-Art Williams, in developing new work highlighting the innovation and creativity of Black Americans. After aging out of the Teen Ensemble Oreine continued her studies at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and later Boston University. While at Boston University, she became the president of Black Artist Alliance, an organization dedicated to promoting and celebrating black artistry within the Boston community.

As an artist, Oreine dedicates herself to mindful creation. She is greatly inspired by the creative minds of Hayao Miyazaki, Carrie Mae Weems, Kate Bush, Erykah Badu, Esthero, FKA Twigs and Adrienne Kennedy.
